Landi’s story

Landi’s story

On Saturday evening the community of Springs could hear Landi’s story as she sat on the stage of Olympia Park School which played a vital roll in Landi’s journey towards her “Story of Hope”
The audience was mesmerized by Landi’s story and the strength that radiated from her. While she shared selective details from her 16 years in the so-called “House of Horrors” everyone commented on the peace and the love that now surrounded her.
The audience was a combination of Law officials to Polititians, from Councillors to Teachers and a whole lot of friends and family in between.
At the end, Landi signed books and took photographs while she graciously stepped into a very different era of her life.
Sanet van Moerkerken (in photo above) was beaming proudly of who Landi became and told her this several times during the evening. Sanet built a very close relationship with Landi over the duration of the Court case and they still are in very close contact with each other.
The evening that was hosted by Olympia Park School was also supported by Rudi Muller who entertained the quests in true style with his amazing talent. Janine van Niekerk from Radio Kansel led the panel discussion and gently led Landi to talk about the most important aspect of her story. The evening was rounded off by a spectacular Ballet production, Limitless from Sandra Gibson’s Ballet academy.
Good food and the love and support of a community will make this evening a night to remember by everyone who attended it.
